We had our reception at The Pine Lake Trout Club in Chagrin Falls, OH. Such a BEAUTIFUL location! This is where I went all out Oz! Each table was themed after a character. When guests arrived the seating chart showed their character table number. When they arrived at their table, the wine bottles matched the seating chart. I have a Wizard of Oz salt and pepper shaker collection (of course I do!). So, each table had the specific character and three vases. Two vases with glowing green led lights (amazon). One with water beads (easy to find on amazon) and with with green rocks and water. The other vase had a specific fake flower in the vase to match the color of the character.
At each table there were the wedding pictures of the guests at the particular table. Each frame read, “A heart is not judged by how much you love; but by how much you are loved by others.” I connected 3 dollar tree frames and removed the backs. I printed the pictures on vellum paper. When you put a candle in the middle of the tri-frame, it shined so brightly! I got this from Martha Stewart.
Each seat also had a yellow chinese take-out container with a sticker that said his or her name, dinner selection, and the quote “We thank you very sweetly.” We had a yellow and green candy bar thanks to my mom! I don’t think the wedding would have been half as great without the assistance of my mom! Ladies, please let others help you plan and execute.
Our wedding photographer was Eric Battershell. I don’t know how I found a photographer that loves Oz too! He was EXCELLENT! He even edited our thank you card to show a yellow brick road in the background!
